"No, finding Viv was pure coincidence. And where Aven and I are going... I don't think anyone else should come with us... And you wouldn't understand why." His voice trailed from cold and steely to unsure and terrified by the end. "Good day, Relle." He jerked the reigns from the thieftess's hands and flicked them, sending his gelding to a slow trot.
Aven rushed through the hallways, trying not to seem rushed. Was she really going through with this? She and Kyo might be killed! But she had no choice, now. As she neared the stables to retrieve Baldwin, she felt herself grow dizzy, and faint. She leaned against one of the walls when... All was white. Slowly, a familiar figure came toward her, accompanied by another, less familiar. Selindra lead the way, of course, in her usual navy blue silks, followed by a woman who was as different from the Moon Goddess as day was from night. The second woman appeared somewhere around Aven's age, and she had milky white skin that would make a man drool, as well as stunningly blue eyes and long, silky blonde hair. She wore a lavish, skin-tight red dress with a scandelously swooping neckline, leaving little of what part of her volimunous bosom was covered to the imagination. As if that wasn't enough, a large, seemingly purposely placed slit in the hoop-less skirts showed off her right leg! To mid thigh! The garment (if it could even be called that) didn't even have sleeves; it seemed to have a strap that fastened behind the neck! Aven felt she would faint from the indecency of it all. She couldn't help but stare. Was the woman trying to get herself raped?! The paler woman seemed to be arguing with Selindra, and pleading at the same time. But Lady Moon paid her no heed as she walked toward the fairy, a fiery glaze in her silvery eyes. "What is the meaning of this?!" the goddess almost screamed. She certainly was furious. "You dare to run off with the very boy I told you double-cross?!" "Selindra," the other woman tried to cut in, "really, you of all people must understand --" "Silence, Lalieh!" Selindra cried, raising a dark-skinned hand with the palm facing the goddess of love. "Oh, Mother! Thank goodness you're here! You must help me! I'm... I need your help." Aven told Lalieh, relief painting her face. "I know," said the blonde goddess solemnly. "But what you ask for, I cannot do. What you have is a blessing! And I blessed you with it for a reason. You will understand in time, but for now, you must not question the will of the gods, and only be thankful we thought of you when other women weep out of want for what you will have." Selindra had begun tapping her foot, waiting impatiently for the Mother's sweet voice to end its speech. "How DARE you sleep with a man who worships the Dark One?!" she screamed. Aven felt herself crouch into a cower. "I beg your forgiveness, your Holyness," she whispered hoarsly. "I love him!" "You love him. You love him?! That's the most preposterous thing I've ever heard! This man has done everything in his power to make you hate him! Light, girl, he's even drawn blood from your veins!" the enraged goddess howled. "I cannot help it. Blame the Mother for intending love to be unconditional," Aven whispered, her voice barely audible. She shook visibly from the fear of it all. "Still, this does not give you grounds on which to elope!" Aven felt herself growing angry. She knew it was a dangerous emotion in this situation, but she couldn't help it. Her voice started in a normal tone, rapidly raising in volume as she stood to her feet until she was screaming back at the goddess by the end. "Then what the bloody hell do you suppose I do?! The people would demand me beheaded, and that's the least of my fears! If I manage to save my neck, I will be known throughout the world as the Prostitute Queen! All my standings and respect will be lost, and Myrari will never know peace again! Is this what you want?! I am pregnant, Lady Moon, and if I do not marry Kyo quickly, the whole palace, if not the whole country, will know the child was concieved out of wedlock within weeks! I am sorry, but I have simply run out of options!" Selindra seethed with pure malice now. She raised her hand as though to slap the queen, a peculiar thing for an all-powerful goddess, but Lalieh placed a hand on the unbewinged woman's shoulder. Blue eyes met silver, and understanding flickered through the gaze. And then both were gone. Aven shook her head, finding herself still leaning against the wall. She looked about her for a moment before hurrying onward.
"OLD?!" Eamon raged. "I'm hardly over 20 years your senior, and you dare to call me old?! You insolent little girl! I could outperform you at anything!" As Eamon continued to yell at Margot, she didn't notice as the winds around them picked up speed, and energy. Soon, a full-fledged windstorm was raging around the small group, with the former Windfinder at its heart. Ishara turned Moksha around, and the tiger raced through the storm to the woman's dun mare. "Eamon!" the nymph cried over the raging winds. "Get ahold of your temper! Do you want to get us all killed?!" Only then did the 40-year-old realize what she was doing. Her eyes widened with shock. "No," she whispered hoarsly. The howling winds simply dissapeared. "NO!" she wailed. Ishara grabbed the woman's reigns so she wouldn't fall behind the rest of the group as she wept for Damodred.

"Get up, get up!" Roared Ana, blank, white eyes rolling shark-like in their sockets. "God-damned Shadow! Get up!" Her shadow let out a grotesque moan, attempting in vain to surface from the boiling depths of itself. Thick, slow bubbles rose on it's tarry face, running in glutinous, jet-black rivets across the cobblestone square. "Up!" Ana roared, yellowed teeth bared as she plunged her hands forcefully into the struggling beast's head. It screamed in pain, and let forth another torrent of slick black bile. It ran grimly over equally dark teeth, the only indication of their separate borders the highlights cast by the sun overhead. The oily substance thundered through the grails of a nearby sewage drain, rolling through the cobblestone like spilt mercury.
And all at once, Ana's ever-loyal Shadow heaved itself from the brick on to streamlined legs, struggling forward from the ruined mass like some strange beast free from a wax mold. Heavy, steel-like tendrils wound themselves up her forearms, and she was again bound to her Shadow, which strode forward, the remains of it's previous self dripping from it's newly formed muzzle like paint off a canvas. Wolf-like talons clattering against the speckled stone, it lowered it's nose to the earth and sprung after it's quarry, a spray of frozen ink exploding from it's onyx coat.
"They will fall. And you, my friend, will feed."

Viviene nodded and barred a small smile. The girl was slightly nervous a feeling she didn’t have often. Sitting on the bed she looked at the ground, finding each crack very interesting. “ Kitten? What would brother say?” Viv’s voice suddenly pieced the air as the Meerkat looked at his bounded and his ears flatten. He wondered why the young child brought up such a subjected.
-Sweet song now rest apond me And thy will carry you on love's fastidious wings Never fade into darkness For they light will ever shine My little girl, My little Girl will not fade For I will carry you on love's fastidious wings- The Meerkat’s reply was almost distances as the girl looked over to a small plant. Its bud had yet not bloomed.
Her green eyes closed as a stirring feeling made her gut tighten and her mind spin. Her hand raised as she faced her palm to the ceiling. Her fingers curled like dead plants as she then opened them quickly. The plant suddenly bloomed, a sweet scent filling the room. Closing her eyes the elemental shivered like a leaf in a hurricane. She was not cold, but the very opposite, she was quiet hot. A voice pulled in her mind, as if whispering a secret in her ears. She felt deaf, as her ability to speak with animals almost seemed cut off. In slight panic she felt her hands move dup to her forehead, she was fairly warm as she could feel the small beads of sweat that seeped form her skin.
Viviene had no clue what was going on, that song made strange and unfamiliar feelings bubble in her. Quickly getting herself under control she looked over to the plant. It had died, her jaw opened as no sound came out. ‘No…’ She thought as she closed her eyes tight. ‘ Death? Why… It seems to be in my shadow. Why…. What’s wrong with me?’ She thought as she desperately shook her head. Her raw power was nowhere near tame nor formed into any type of true power. It was tainted with her emotions, her emotion spinning like a top.
Kitten was at her side, nudging her hand. –Are you alright?- He asked, his voice dripping with concern for the girl. “ Fine just dizzy.” She half lied as the girl felt something pull at her garments. Two rats were at her feet, both a deep black. “ Why do you come?” She asked her voice suddenly gentler. –Something strange is happening human child.- The female rat said silently as it groomed the front of it’s small paws. “ Strange? What ever do you mean?” Vivien asked even more confused. –The cats do not hunt, the dogs do not bark and the horses do not frighten. The human seemed tense, her pace swift and her scent mixed. – The younger male rat commented as the female who was larger looked over her shoulder. “ Human? What human? Are you sure its not just some normal cause?” Viviene tried desperately to piece what the rats were telling her together. –Human child you are of the people and of the human. We rats know something is wrong the people know something is wrong. We feel your emotion, you know something is wrong. We must retreat to our homes, food needs to be put away before there is none to be taken.- The female rat seemed snappy as she pulled her friendly son with her. Rats were never easy to work with, they were always cocky. “ The people.” Viviene quiver. She had never used the turn The people is such a long time. To animals the people were themselves, it was a way of saying the animal kind. Being a earth elemental it was only natural for animals to see her as half People even if she was not. Viviene shuttered again, confused.

Margot jarred the reigns on her pack horse and thought about it, then decided she did not care about a old woman who had no power over her emotions or her magic. She voiced this to Asha, who rolled his eyes but didn't say anything more, and they both continued down the road back towards the capital. Margot, as they went on, wondered what they'd find there, or more aptly, whom.
Asha decided that females of the human persuasion were honestly way to catty and complicated to get involved with, which he had decided before, but it needed to be reitterated.
Relle was in an absolute tizzy. She stood there for a moment, considered going after him. She decided against it, then turned to nursing her fingers, the stung where he'd so politely removed his reigns from her fingers, and she sucked on her thumb to ease it while she contemplated. Kyo seemed... uneasy about something.
The queen might(not) tell her, Kyo had used her name, so she turned back around and went back towards the palace, hoping she wouldn't have to face those guards again. Besides, she had to speak to the queen anyways, she wasn't really being nosy, not at all. {Yes, you are} Lord voiced when she tried to defend her actions on the way. {Maybe I am} She admitted, but didn't stop.

Aven, reaching the stables, went and retrieved Baldwin again, this time the gaudy silver-coated tack she would use when riding out into the city replaced by plain leather, a more hardy medium for long travel. She had to get far away from the palace, to a place where few people would recognize her and her name, if any. She mounted swiftly and gracefully, gently digging her heels into the mare's white flanks to get her moving at a brisk trot. The queen regretted not thinking to bring so much as a cloak, but she figured she could purchase one along the way, if needed. And there was always Kyo... Just the thought made her blush, though she hadn't voiced it. She was passing through the gates to the palace now, marked by the thick, grey stone wall arching over a heavy iron-barred gate. Two guards laboriously turned a rather oversized crank, lifting the gate above her head. Aven always felt queasy riding under the big spikes, afraid a traitor in the ranks of the guards would allow the gate to fall, impaling her with the wickedly sharp points.

"Well, they're just riding past me in droves." Relle said dryly, and leapt onto someone elses mount to pursue the queen, who, from the sense of things, was just as messed up as Kyo, but she'd known that.
"AVEN!" She called out, and pulled in closer to the queen.

The wind pulled greedily at a figures red hair. Strangely he was well hidden but for the most colorful part of him. The red just seemed to stand out against the white and black background of the snowy scene.
Crack,
Crunch,
“SHHHHH!”
The sounds of movement could be heard if one listened closely to there surroundings. A boy no older then 13 or 14 laid hidden in the shadows of a barrel. Beside him was a strange creature, it two stood out against the background. It two had splashes of red, orange and yellow along with the hints of white and a full pelt of sharp jet black. The creature had moved and stones along with sticks had snapped and or moved its body weight. The boy had clearly been scolding the creature. But then silence. Both turned the eyes to the creaking of the gates and the clatter of horse hooves to the cobblestone.
It was as if the angles were singing as the boy gave a cocky smile. He planned to jump a noble or royalty, he planned to get untold treasures and riches but what he saw was strange to him. The horse the female rode barred no sign of riches but more for travel. Growling the boy readied himself in position, a knife in his hand as the creature moved a little rather down the road to block the horses escape when the teenager gave the singal.
(( Sorry rushing between work and Rp ^^ ))
((Edited add on to fit late post))
The boy suddenly froze like astute when another voice pieced his sensitive ears. He started cursing under his breath as he shifted impatiently under his wait. Silently he prayed to his god for luck and satisfaction on what ever he could get his hands on. But hay two girls may have some weathly stuff on them.

Aven squeezed her eyes shut in frustration and dismay when she heard Relle's despised and familiar voice call her name. But now she had been spotted, she had no choice but to ride forward and speak with the thief. Kyo must be getting impatient. With a sigh, she led Baldwin to the other woman riding another horse, probably stolen. "Hello, Relle. I haven't seen you around the palace recently," the fairy said in a mocking tone.

Vivien held her sore head and got up onto wobbly legs. Kitten looked worried at his bonded and tried to get her to sit and stay but neither of the words were effective on a young girl as old as 12. She would soon be a teenager and all hell would break loose. The preteen walked clumsily to the door and clutched her warm fingers around the cold metal. It almost stung to the touch and quickly pulled her hand away. She felt almost sick to the stomach as she sat down on the floor cross-legged without saying a word.
{Are you alright?} He asked nuzzling her hand. Viv looked down at the small meerkat and smiled. “ Tired, just tired.” She said out loud as a yawn escaped her grasps and was fully viewed for anyone who could see. She was thankful only her and Kitten were in the current room, she really didn’t want anyone seeing the inside of her mouth.

"That's because your guards wouldn't allow me inside the walls... if I find out that that was your doing, so help me Kiproyn, I will take you r head off with the help of the traitors among your guard!" She ground her teeth and brought her mount beside Baldwin, but her anger mulled for a second, not sure if she should actually be /that/ mean to the queen, but the rogue decided she didnt' care, as always. "Avendora, please tell me you've decided to run of with Kyo and give the orb to the Dark One, because if that's not it, I'll have to jump to the conclusion that you and he are eloping. " She turned herself halfway around in the saddle, sluggish with anger at /both/ Kyo and Aven and even at their familiars for letting this occur, and looked around for the malicious intent she'd sensed. She turned back for a moment and reached around, for the second time today, to catch a set of reigns securely in her hands- this time wrapping them tightly around her wrist and forearm so they wouldn't be ripped away without some work. "Explain yourself Aven, because I was hoping to have an ally in fulfilling the Goddess's quest, not some lovesick darksider." Sighing heavily, Relle let her silver eyes scan the cover for the thief she'd sensed, but not finding anything, and she kept on looking as she waited for some reply from the queen.
{Lord?} She asked, and he scampered down her shirt in search as well, happy to be out of the crossfire of the two.

Aven shook her head as Relle threatened to behead her. That would definitely take more effort than the thief had in her. But her face lost its mocking smile and turned to cold stone as the other woman guessed at where she was going off to, taking the fairy's reigns and securing them around her hand. "Where I am off to is none of your concern, Sararelle," Aven told Relle, her eyes like daggers. "I do not mean to sound rude, but if you wish to know what Kyo and I are about, I suggest going about it in another way, perhaps even follow along behind us, for I have nothing left to say to you. I ask you now to kindly release my reigns." Her glare was enough to send shivers down the spine of the toughest strongman in the city.

"You know very well that that would be more effor than I"m willing to expend, Aven." Relle growled, meeting Aven's dagger gaze with one of her own. "Now that I know I've guessed right, Queenie, I'll take my time telling you what I think of your endeavor."
She tugged tightly on the queen's reigns to show she was going nowhere, nor letting the queen go on her way, then continued, "It's senseless. The world is about to end and you're worrying about your affair?!" She dug her nails into her palm as she hissed even louder, "The Theif Lord explained things in a way I could easily understand, and if your patroness can't hold onto you for the time enough to have your mind straightene on the quest, then I will feel entitled to steal the orb for him. " Her wicked grin stretched past her grimace as she held the queen's eyes, "If you help me find it, it can be peace happiness and all the love you can stand, but if you don't and I find it anyway, on my own charms or whathaveyou, it will be looters rule throughout your kingdome, or if the darklord's price for the bauble is nice enough, then darkness, which amazingly, I don't believe either of us wants. "
"Surely Queen Avendora, you can understand where I'm coming from." And the Thief grinned at Aven just one more time before she said. "And I'msure the thieves all around can send whispers of your unseemly behavior a lot quicker than a round stomach."

Aven shook her head in disgust. Relle had no idea how the world of politics worked. When one was a noble, especially a queen, they must play Daes Daemar, the Game of Houses, like an expert. And she was Avendoraldhera Ilharodha Opaby, queen of Myrari, and not a force to be trifled with, especially by a thief! "I apologize, Sararelle. But give me a moment's attention to explain. I know the world is in danger, but I also know that you and the rest who search for others than Selindra and her followers are no closer to finding the Orb than am I. As such, I am going away on my... trip... in complete faith that I will be able to complete my quest when I have fulfilled my duty to my people. I am expected to produce an heir to the throne, but if it is discovered that such a child was conceived out of wedlock, all of Myrari will be headed toward disaster! I, as well as my child and Kyo, shall loose all credibility now retained. Other countries and their rulers will view us as a country of doxies, puttocks, and spintries! There will be endless invasions and no hope of peace talks. Then, when I have finally died and the Rose Crown must be passed on to my child, there will be Civil War that rips the country into shreds, the dispute being whether or not my child is the rightful heir to the throne. All of this can be avoided easily and swiftly, if Kyo and I simply slip away, and today. Now, do you understand why I must leave?!" Aven's voice remained a harsh whisper, for fear that her words might be overheard by a passing civilian.
While the fairy spoke, she also instructed Omen, who circled overhead. The owl's snowy white feathers were almost impossible to see against the overcast sky above. {Go to Kyo. Give him the signal that I've been held up, but I should be on my way soon,} came Aven's words. {Got it,} came Omen's brisk reply. She had no need to flap her wings, simply riding the air currents and using pockets of warm air to rise when she came too near the ground. Soon, she had spotted Kyo, the purple-haired boy easily found, as he rode his royal roan gelding through the slums now, attempting to reach the city's gates. She swooped down right in front of the horse, but the gelding was was well trained and didn't shy. The snowy owl did three loops in the air before flying up and away once more.
Kyo's eyes widened a brief moment as a large white bird swooped down directly in front of him. He identified it in a split second as a snowy owl, and no doubt Aven's Omen. Crimson pupils followed the white, black-speckled bird as she loop-de-looped three times, then soared up into the air and away. The half-demon sighed and slowed the gelding's pace. Aven probably would be a little while if that truly had been Omen, and there was no need to tire his horse so early in the journey. He hoped Relle hadn't gotten to the queen; he had barely been able to slip away, and Aven was not quite so apt at being rude as he. It seemed everything that could go wrong was doing so.

"Well Aven." Relle had calmed down, and spoke politely, almost conversationally, to the Queen, "I'd prefer if first, you'd not speak to me as if I didn't care about your silly politics, and second, accept that I don't care. So your daughter might have to deal with a few scuffles, would that be better than living in a time where darkness reigns or have her not even exist because the Dark Lord found you troublesome?" she rolled her eyes skyward, focusing on that for a moment before continueing, "Nevermind, it's obvious your goddess was senseless giving you this quest that you care nothing about, but the least you can do is tell me how I may find the other groups? Because they'll have to be alerted that their queen is a trollop and disinterested." She sighed, as if it were all much too sad an occurance for her to bare.

Aven sighed. She looked heavensward, murmuring, "I tried, Mother, I really did," addressing Lalieh. She returned her gaze to Relle. "I'm sorry you don't understand my situation, nor seem to care that what I am doing is every bit as important as this quest. I'm not shirking my duties; you would do well to try and understand what true responsibility is like. But of course, you wouldn't understand. You've only ever done things for your own self. It's no wonder you're a theif. When you steal stuff instead of actually working, you create gain for only you." The queen shook her head. "I can only imagine what Myrari would end up like if you were queen." She smirked as she continued, her hand snaking behind her back where the gate guards could see her fingers. "But I don't think we'll have to worry about that now, will we?" Her fingers flashed in a secret sign language only she and the guards she personally hired knew, twisting and curling too rapidly to make any sense if you weren't fluent. Luckily, one of the guards on duty understood the queen's hand-talk, motioning to another man to come help. They approached Aven and Relle quickly and bowed deeply to the fairy, not straightening until she had told them they could rise. "Is there something the matter, my lady?" asked one of the guards, his Arymillian accent obvious in the way he seemed to skip the r's in his speech. "Take this woman and hold her in the dungeons for a few days; I find her quite troublesome, and she refuses to let me go on my ride through the city." Aven was obviously not planning to simply ride slowly around Arymilla, but the guards bowed again and grabbed Relle's arms, jerking the reigns out of her grasp and twisting her arms around behind her back so she couldn't strike out at them or reach some concealed dagger. As they led her away, Aven waved smugly at the thief. "It's for your own good!" the fairy called after her. "Besides, you should be spending more than a few days in there, considering your current occupation!"
